Hey everyone,

I recently migrated OurVQ to a new host. For the first few weeks everything was fine and the transition was simple. However, I started to notice some lag that was occurring. I would frequently get database connection time outs and "taking too long" to respond messages started to escalate.

I took this up with the host and it came to a point where I had to make a judgement call and move the website once again to another host. I believe I have found a good one this time around. I'm fine tuning the current configuration so I can get as much performance as I can from the web server.

Apparently, the first host was suffering a DoS attack. Unfortunately for them, I wasn't about to hang around and wait for them to fix it.

Now that we are on a new server, it should be business as usual :) I also got the former host to give me a sick deal on their best server for my headaches.

Just wanted to fill you in on the downtime during the weekend.
